With today's busy schedules, a restful night's sleep is essential. Still, over 12 million Americans suffer from sleep apnea. The Greek word "apnea" literally means "without breath." By stopping breathing several times during the night, those suffering from sleep apnea don't get the necessary rest they need and may suffer from a lack of mental alertness weight gain, impotency and headaches. Fortunately, sleep apnea can be diagnosed and treated.
At Central Nebraska Home Care, our Respiratory Therapists will offer counsel and the necessary equipment to deal with the three types of apnea: obstructive, central and mixed. Once diagnosed by a physician, Central Nebraska Home Care will arrange for the appropriate masks, headgear, tubing and CPAP machines to treat the symptoms of sleep apnea-benefiting both the sufferer and their partner.
Additionally, Central Nebraska Home Care provides a CPAP follow-up program by visiting sleep apnea patients to assess compliance and check if additional or replacement supplies are needed. Compliance reports and other specific needs will be communicated to the referring physician.
Central Nebraska Home Health Care is committed to following through with physician orders and patient care. After all, comfort and rest allows both the patient and their partner to live right now.
Central Nebraska Home Care is the area's most trusted name in providing O2 therapy. While some people use oxygen therapy only while exercising and others only while sleeping, more often than not, oxygen therapy is prescribed as a continuous regimen.
Central Nebraska Home Care partners with the physician to improve the quality of life for their patients. By providing physician-driven respiratory visits and assessments, Central Nebraska Home Care can provide timely adjustments to the patient's plan of care. The Respiratory Assessment Program consists of a home visit with an evaluation using both measurable and subjective information to provide evidence of the patient's status.
Central Nebraska Home Care also offers oximetry testing. Monitoring oxygen saturation, when ordered by the physician, can be done as a spot check or during a respiratory assessment. Oximetry testing can also be done overnight to assess desaturation while sleeping. There is no charge for this service.
Our Respiratory Therapists go the extra mile to make sure that a patient continues in good health, and they report any changes in respiratory status to the physician.
Working with the patient and health care provider, Central Nebraska Home Care is helping our patients to live right now.
Central Nebraska Home Care knows that independence is key to enjoying life to its fullest. For elderly individuals or people with progressive conditions such as multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy or arthritis, an electric scooter can often times be the answer.
A scooter can increase mobility for those needing assistance occasionally, or for those who use a manual chair most of the time. The professionals at Central Nebraska Home will take the time necessary to make sure the correct scooter is recommended in accordance with a patient's weight, ability and need. We explain to the user and caregiver every detail of the electric scooter's capabilities around the house.
With a physician's prescription, Central Nebraska Home Care takes care of all insurance, Medicare and Medicaid paperwork alleviating uncertainties for the patient.
Central Nebraska Home Care also provides rehabilitation services with regular home visits to make sure electric scooters are operating safely, properly, and with ease. We answer questions, removing all the obstacles that may be in the way of the patient's mobility.
Working with the patient and health care provider, Central Nebraska Home Care offers comfort, ease and the power to live right now.
Wheelchairs are about an individual's freedom. At Central Nebraska Home Care, we offer wheelchairs for every user ranging from manual wheelchairs to electric wheelchairs for more complicated illnesses like muscular dystrophy or spinal cord injuries.
In every case, Central Nebraska Home Care makes sure the chair is properly fitted and the user knows how best to operate the wheelchair. We'll even guide caregivers in the proper handling of both the patient, and the wheelchair.
Central Nebraska Home Care also provides rehabilitation services with in-home visits to ensure both manual and electric wheelchairs are operating safely, properly, and with ease. Our patient-focused attention to detail will give the health care provider peace of mind knowing his/her patient is receiving the best care at home. With our dedicated Rehabilitation Specialists, we're accessible round-the-clock with the expertise necessary to assess the situation, take corrective action and keep the health care provider apprised of patient needs.
